iGaming Ontario 2026 — Which Casinos Are AGCO Registered?
Ontario operates Canada’s only provincially regulated competitive iGaming market. Since its launch in April 2022, the market has grown to over 90 registered operators — giving Ontario residents more regulated choice than almost any other jurisdiction in North America.
But with that growth comes confusion. Many Ontario players are still unsure which casinos are legally registered and which are operating offshore without provincial authorisation.
Here is what you need to know in 2026.
How Ontario’s iGaming Market Works
Two bodies govern online gambling in Ontario:
iGaming Ontario (iGO) — A Crown agency that acts as the direct counterparty to every registered operator. iGO holds conduct-and-manage authority under Canada’s Criminal Code and manages the regulatory framework day to day.
Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) — The independent regulator responsible for issuing licences, enforcing compliance standards and protecting players. The AGCO enforces actively — as recently as May 2026 it fined two game suppliers $40,000 each for distributing content to unlicensed platforms.
To legally serve Ontario residents, an operator must hold an AGCO licence and have entered into an operating agreement with iGO. Offshore casinos without this registration are not authorised in the province and fall outside its consumer protection framework.
How to Verify a Casino Is AGCO Registered
Three steps:
1. Visit igamingontario.ca and search the official operator registry. Every registered operator is listed publicly.
2. Check the casino footer for the iGaming Ontario logo and AGCO registration number. Registered operators are required to display this prominently.
3. Confirm the casino offers AGCO-mandated responsible gambling tools — deposit limits, time-out features and a link to ConnexOntario — within your account settings.
If a casino fails any of these checks, it is operating outside Ontario’s regulated framework. Players have no legal recourse if funds are withheld by an unregistered operator.
What Ontario Registration Means for Players
Playing at an AGCO-registered casino in Ontario gives you:

Which Casinos on WagerFlame Are Available in Ontario?
Currently, none of the casinos reviewed on WagerFlame are registered with iGaming Ontario. Wildz exited the Ontario market in October 2025. Flamez, Speedz and Berriez operate under KGC licences and are not available to Ontario residents.

What About Alberta?
